Analysis Section

The analysis of different material options is crucial in deciding which material is used in each part of the assembly. Overall, the materials selected for analysis are Stainless steel, structural steel, aluminum, ABS plastic and PLA plastic. The results of this background analysis of materials are conclusive to specific material. One example is that Aluminum has a lower cost per pound compared to steel, however the yield stress is higher. This means that using aluminum is price effective if the design criteria of the structure’s integrity is met. The following picture is of the motor wired to the speed controller.
